What is therapy and how does it work?
Ember Counseling Care specializes in mental health talk therapy. I believe that you are the expert of your own experiences. Together, we can set treatment goals and explore what you'd like to focus on in therapy. I let therapy be client-led, and I'm happy to offer a framework for therapy if that'd be helpful to you.
How do I know if I need therapy?
I think that therapy is a helpful step if your mental health is affecting your quality of life, if there are stressors in your life that you are struggling to process, if you have concerns about your relationships, or if you feel stuck. I offer 15-minute consultation calls for us to meet and see if therapy at ECC would be a good fit.
How much do sessions cost?
Feel free to reach out to me to verify your insurance copay and benefits. I do offer a limited amount of sliding scale services for individuals that can't pay the out-of-pocket fees listed on ECC's rate's page. Please reach out if you have questions. I don't want cost to be a deterrent from mental health care for people that need it.
How often do I need to come?
I believe that clients know best what they need, so that's completely up to you! I prefer to start weekly or biweekly, so that we can build a rapport. You are welcome to come weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as needed, depending on what works best for you.
